Charles was a farmer of 300 acres, and employing 7 men.

1871 Census - Charles and his family had moved to Snitterfield in Warwick.
He was still a farmer, but he now had 380 acres, and was employing 11 men and 4 boys.

1881 Census - The family was still at Snitterfield in Warwick, but his farm had grown to 420 acres, and he was now employing 10 men and 3 boys.

Charles married Mary Ann ILIFFE, daughter of Charles ILIFFE and Mary Ann, in Jul 1858 in Saint Michael's Church, Coventry, Warwick. (Mary Ann ILIFFE was born in 1833 in Coventry and was christened 13th November 1833 in Saint Michael's Church, Coventry, Warwick..)
