ROWLAND'S CEMETERY, SUMMERSEAT.

There are two graveyards at Rowland's Methodist Church in Summerseat.

Unfortunately the old bottom graveyard is officially closed, and it has not been possible to enter this graveyard for many years now, due to the overgrown condition.

Please visit the Rowland's Old Graveyard page where you can now view 94 photos the headstones in the old graveyard section at Rowland's. I have also transcribed and added the monumental inscriptions for these graves.

The top graveyard is kept in good order, and here I have placed photos of 170 graves, together with the full monumental inscriptions from the headstones that are in the top graveyard.

There are a few graves that are unmarked, so this collection may not contain a list of all the people that are buried in Rowland's Top Graveyard.

Due to the number of photos, I have placed these on three pages, and have tried to place them in alphabetical order,

although some of the graves do show other people with different surnames, so I suggest that you view them all if you

are specifically looking for a name.

Please be patient for these pages to open, as they are fairly large files, with many photos.

All the images are watermarked, so please contact me should you require a high quality copy of one of the photos listed,

not forgetting to give me the Photo ID Number, which can be seen under each photo.

I have placed here a few photos of the The ornately decorated tomb of John Robinson Kay, together with photos of the War Memorial and also photos of the 12 Memorial Stones in the Memorial Gardens, the other 170 grave headstones together with the full monumental inscriptions, are on the following three pages.
