Welcome to our Summerseat photo gallery

We have got two main photo gallery's for you to visit, the first gallery is in two parts, and has many present day photos that we have taken around the village of Summerseat, I have had to add a page to this gallery as there are now 82 photo's for you to view, so there is now a Gallery 1 & 1a.

I have also added some great old photos to the Photo Gallery 2.

I have also dedicated a special page on this site which gives much information, together with some photos of the old railway goods shed on Rowland's Road, this building has just recently been listed as a Grade II listed building. Now in the second gallery we have placed a few old photos of Summerseat.

There is also a special photo page that I have added to the site, where you can view some very old photos of the Team Members of the Brooksbottoms Cricket Club of Summerseat. There are photos here that date back to the 1800's, and there are also a couple of newspaper cutting about the team that I have added to the Newspaper Cuttings Page.

I would really like to be able to have more old photos of Summerseat, if you happen to have any that you could possibly scan and send to me, I would be really grateful, please only send copies of photos that are free from copyright, please Contact Us.

There is also a great site where you can view many photos of the past,

it has been set up by the Bury Museum + Archives Department.

Bury Image Bank is a comprehensive image library containing a local history and archives database, showcasing streets and buildings from c.1850 to the present day. Images are being added on a regular basis and increasingly show people and organisations from across the Borough.
The database is free to search and for personal non-commercial use,
I have placed a link here to the Home Page of the site, just type in Summerseat into the Search Box and it will bring up many old photos of Summerseat. The site does have many photos of Bury and I am sure that you will spend some enjoyable times viewing the great photos of the past.

When you have finished here, why not visit this great site that I have found where there are many brilliant photos of Summerseat. It is called Summerseat Views, I am sure you will enjoy.

Don't forget to visit our Old Maps Page, as there are 3 maps showing Summerseat.

1)- 1818 map of Summerseat, Holcombe Brook and Tottington.
2)- 1894 map of Summerseat, this is quite detailed.
3)- 2004 map showing how Summerseat is today.
